Abstract

Medicinal plants are plants that are often used as natural medicines or ingredients. Medicinal plants or commonly called biopharmaceuticals are types of plants that have functions and properties to treat and are used for the treatment and prevention of various diseases. Staphylococcus aureus is a gram-positive bacterium that can create spheres that grow in groups like grapes and one form of normal flora in humans. The method used in this research is experimental research method, which is a type of experimental research method to see the influence or effect on something that is being studied. From the results of the anti-bacterial power test using ketapang leaves, U1 = horizontal 0.8 cm and vertical 0.7 cm were obtained. While in U2 = horizontal 0.5 cm and vertical 0.7 cm.
